Songs of Summer is a celebration of the joy of nature and of being surrounded by the colours, scents and shapes in the garden. The silhouette leaves were inspired both by photographs taken whilst walking in the local park and woods and the shapes of leaves from over my garden fence dancing against the tiles of my kitchen on long summer evenings. Painted in acrylics on cradled wood panel and built up over many layers, Songs of Summer would brighten up any space.
